The Production Planner will be responsible for developing production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring timely and efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Production Scheduling:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels.
Material Planning:
Coordinate with purchasing and inventory control teams to ensure availability of raw materials and components for production.
Capacity Planning:
Monitor production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints. Adjust production schedules as needed to optimize resource utilization.
Order Management:
Review customer orders and prioritize production activities to meet delivery deadlines.
Work Order Creation:
Generate work orders detailing production tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
Production Coordination:
Collaborate with production supervisors, operators, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of finished goods and work in progress (WIP), and adjust production schedules accordingly to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in production planning and execution.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production schedules, work orders, and production performance metrics. Generate regular reports on production KPIs and performance.
Schedule Adherence: Percentage of production tasks completed according to schedule.
On-time Delivery: Percentage of customer orders delivered on time.
Production Efficiency: Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and throughput rate.
Inventory Turnover: Number of times inventory is sold or used within a given period.
Resource Utilization: Percentage of production capacity utilized.
Lead Time Reduction: Average time taken from order receipt to order fulfilment.
Order Fulfilment Accuracy: Percentage of orders fulfilled accurately and completely.
Production Cost Variance: Variance between planned and actual production costs.

Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in production planning
Manufacturing industry experience (Automotive - advantage)
A bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Production, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
