A non-profit donor organization seeks a highly motivated Research and Learning Analyst to join the team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting grant-making and institutional development programmes by collating research data, analysing data, and providing strategic insights to inform decision-making processes and support programme implementation.

Minimum Requirements:
Masters Degree in social sciences, public policy, international development, or related field;
7 or more years’ experience in research (quantitative and qualitative research methods), analysis and writing to inform strategy and programme development, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear and compelling insights.
Strong understanding of a broad range of social justice issues, including but not limited to e.g. economic, gender and environmental justice.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively as part of a small team.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated understanding of power dynamics and privilege within social justice work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
Conduct and/or commission research on social justice issues, trends, and best practices to inform organisational and sector strategy.
Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify key insights, trends, and opportunities to ensure that strategic objectives are still on track.
Stay abreast of relevant literature, reports, and emerging research in the field of social justice, grant-making and sustainability.
Assist in the review and analysis of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organisations objectives, strategic priorities and grant-making criteria.
Learning and Documentation:
Track historic trends and input into review of long-term strategy, annual work plans, and performance metrics to guide decision-making and resource allocation.
Collect, analyse and document data from grantees to track progress towards outcomes.
Prepare syntheses of reports and communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Collate programme and sector data for internal reflection and learning aimed at more effective grant-making.
Assist in the design and implementation of best practise approaches to sustainability of the sector.
Inform the design of and implement annual reviews and more substantive internal evaluations of strategy, grant-making and organisational performance.
