KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Specialised Artisan, Mechanical & Fitting
The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To maintain, service and repair mechanical components on machinery (with OEM specialisation) to ensure their availability for mining operations. The incumbent tasks a small group of technicians and the scope / portfolio of this role includes performing planned and preventative maintenance, and attending to breakdowns.
You will have the following:Qualified Artisan, Mechanical or Electrical
Courses in Safety, Risk Assessment
Underground experience
Understanding of mining methodologies
Understanding of different roles (fitter, rigger, boilermaker) and how they work together
You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:
- Mechanical knowledge
Hydraulic skills
Auto-electrical skills
Brand-specific (i.e. OEM) skills
- Safety and security knowledge
Technical Skills should include:
- Hydraulic skills
- Auto-electrical skills
- Brand-specific (i.ec. OEM) skills

Lead teams of specialists to maintain and repair TMM fleet
Undertake planned maintenance and unplanned repairs on machinery, ensuring maximum availability for mining operations

- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
