Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Johannesburg Metropolitan Area for a Legal Secretary. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys, managing legal documents and correspondence, arranging meetings and hearings, maintaining filing systems, and conducting legal research as required. The Legal Secretary will also assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents, preparing case files, and communicating with clients and other parties involved in legal matters.
Required Skills
- Microsoft Office: 4 to 5 years
- Typing: 4 to 5 years
- Legal Drafting: 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role.
Experience in family and commercial law matters would be advantageous.
Proficient in legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Excellent knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with legal research and drafting legal documents.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
