Recruitment and Induction
Manage the recruitment process for all engagements
Ensure all vacancies are advertised internally
Assist with organising assessments when required
Attend to appointment procedures and related communications
Monitor all casual and fixed term contracts to ensure reviews take place before expiry of term
Keep records of all contracts of employment
Conduct HR induction and ensure that departmental induction takes place
Monitor the probationary processes and ensure assessments are carried out
Employee Benefits
Ensure registration, claims and benefits for medical aid are in place
Monitor the activities of the on-site Clinician
Assist employees needing to receive medical assistance
Assistance with registering, claims and benefits for retirement funds
Monitor and assist with Employee wellness activities
Ensure all Injury on duty records are kept and employee fitness monitored
Provide assistance with WCA and UIF claims
Ensure positive relationships are established and maintained between the organisation and service providers/Government departments in dealings with employee benefits
Time and Assistance
Assist Lodge and Departmental Managers to maintain accurate time records
Ensure irregular timekeeping is reported and appropriate action is taken
Carry out checks on leave applications and accumulations
Monitor patterns and trends in employee attendance and report to Management
HR Administration
List and monitor all HR Assets
Gather information for HR reporting and ensure it is filed properly
Maintain information to assist with risk insurance
Maintain and keep up to date all personnel files
Attend and minute meetings of the Superforum and Community Forum
HR policies are monitored for adherence and deviations reported
Maintain and update all HR policy files and communications
Payroll and Administration
Check data for submission of payroll data by due dates
Maintain records of all payroll submissions
Conduct check on payroll exceptions, like excessive overtime, leave, etc.
Performance Monitoring
Ensure that appraisals are conducted as required
Maintain records of all appraisals
Ensure appraisals are conducted before expiry of probation
Training Records
Collate training records to ensure all training interventions are recorded
Follow up with Management to ensure all training records are received
Assist with the gathering of training needs for assimilation into the workplace skills plan

Candidate Requirements
Matriculant
Diploma/Certificate in HR/Training management
3 years relevant experience in HR administrative position
