We are on the lookout for a Site Manager with a solid background in electrical engineering, specifically within the PV/solar installation industry. This role is pivotal in leading our site teams to ensure the successful execution and completion of solar installation projects. While an engineering degree is advantageous, hands-on experience and a trade certification in electrical engineering/electrician are essential. The role demands someone who is adept at managing complex projects, can lead a diverse team, and is passionate about renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution and Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of solar installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure smooth project progression.
- Implement project plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and manage site teams, ensuring a high level of performance and team spirit.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's knowledge and skills in solar installation techniques and safety protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations on site.

Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical guidance on electrical aspects of solar installations, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in the PV/solar sector to drive innovation within the team.

Quality Control and Compliance:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues identified during inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on site, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors to support future business opportunities.

- Electrician: 10 years or more
Candidate Requirements

Skills and Experience:
- Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering: Essential for understanding the technical requirements of solar installations.
- Experience in PV/Solar Installation Industry: At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the solar installation sector.
- Project Management Skills: Proficiency in managing project schedules, resources, and budgets. Familiarity with project management software is beneficial.
