Our client in the Transport Industry, requires the services of a Assistant Workshop Manager to join their team.
Key performance areas:
- Manage e-tags on the vehicles
- Tyre scrap weekly
- Order new e-tags when missing or not working through Head Office Accountant
- Manage the brake roll machine of every vehicle after their service before going back to operations for loads
- Sign off all estimates and invoices for the repair, maintenance and breakdowns of fleet when the Maintenance Manager is on leave
- Planning of servicing of the fleet when Assistant Operations Manage is on leave
- All vehicles have the new licence on vehicle through service providers
- Controlling of vehicle trip sheets and parts gate pass
- Housekeeping enforce to the service providers
- Arrange outside service providers if needed for repairs on vehicles (service providers not on site)
- Arrange for quotes for accident vehicles in the yard
- Assist with accidents on the road
- Capture services (brakes, A services and COF services and licences of the trailers on mix)
- Spot checks according quote versus actual back from service providers
- Receive tyre stock, lubrication, branding and Afrox according to invoice
- Check tyres before sent to ATT for repairs and rethread
- Do spot checks in the yard with service providers
- Receive new vehicles and manage all fitment
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- Matric
- Must be a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- At least 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar environment
- Must have good communication and problem-solving skills
- Must have attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent computer literacy – (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
