We are looking to appoint a payroll administrator to effectively administer the payroll and benefits for approximately 20 payrolls (600 employees)
Job Function
1. Prepare, process, and manage monthly payrolls of approximately 600 employees
2. Collating data from various HR/Payroll affiliates
3. Importing payroll information into VIP Premier via batch imports
4. Extracting monthly reports and listings for 3rd parties
5. Preparation of third-party schedules
6. Preparation for Tax year end and Mid-year EMP501 submissions
7. Dealing with employee payroll queries
8. Preparing monthly payroll journals and recons
9. Administer Provident Fund and related queries
10. Day to day payroll related administration
11. WCA preparation and the submission of the ROE’s for your respective payrolls
12. Assist with the preparation and co-ordination of salary reviews and bonuses
13. Ensure Employment Equity/Paterson grading roles are defined and captured correctly
14. Provide information to auditors and assist with queries related to the financial year end process
15. Assist Managers from various properties, by providing them with documents required for Department of Labour inspections
16. Assist with Internal and External audit process by providing required information
Candidate Requirements
Experience / Skills Requirements
· Minimum 5 Years’ experience on Sage VIP Premier
· Payroll / HR Degree/ Diploma related qualification is advantageous
· Ability to work under a pressurized environment and meeting tight deadlines
· Excellent reporting skills and financial acumen
· Good working knowledge of MS Office, intermediate to advanced MS Excel is essential
