· Production Planning-Planning of all customer requirements into production analyzing consumption of parts and triggering economical production runs into production.
· Providing clear and accurate commitments to sales Team regarding customer orders and commitments.
· Drive functional excellence of the production Team
· Production Priorities-Assessing customer delivery requirements and ensuring that committed planned delivery dates are met.
· Assessing load on each work center on daily basis and shuffling priorities to meet deadlines.
· Requirements Notification -Ensure that all requirements notifications (Steel, consumables etc.) are sent out to purchasing department by email for ordering purposes on set intervals and regular follow-ups are done.
· Quality Department-Ensure that all quality control measures are in place and adhered to. Ensure that all manufactured products have a pre-delivery -inspection report on record prior delivery or warehousing.
· Work center efficiency-Ensuring that work centers and employees have all the necessary tools to complete the job at hand (Tooling, programs and measuring equipment) on regular basis and the tools are maintained in good order.
· House-Keeping-Maintaining a good housekeeping standards and requirements for the workshop, equipment, and machinery. Ensuring that machinery and equipment inspection is conducted on regular basis and the workshop is kept neat and tidy to comply with the company health and safety policies and standards. (Machinery, gauges, tooling, measuring equipment and workspaces)
Machinery Repairs and Maintenance-Ensue that maintenance schedules for all machinery is kept up to date and all breakdowns are attended to immediately. All machine breakdowns should be loaded on a breakdown form and all relevant parties should be notified. The service Team should be notified for all third-party repairs for urgent attention.
· Projects and Assemblies-Planning and coordinating the assembly process of all projects and work that needs to be assembled before commencing with the work. Ensuring that all parts to be assembled are gathered, ordered, and laid out and inspected prior the assembly. The assembly process should only commence once all parts have been gathered and laid out.
· Work-Force Management-Ensuring that all blue-collar employees and supervisors have a clear direction and leadership. Ensuring that there is clear, constant, and concise communication through all the channels
· Manage and lead the Team ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing attendance, training and development, appraisals, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficiency
· Communicate KPI’S from the strategic annual plan so that each employee aware.
· Motivate and coach the Team for operational success.
· Support, comply and ensure complicity withbnhelath and safety regulations, quality standards, environmental standards and all other company policies and procedures.
· Develop, maintain and review all production related policies and procedures on regular basis
· Identify training needs for the production Team and liase with the relevant department to ensure that training requirements are met.
· Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained

· Tertiary education related to production management.
· Qualified Machinist
· CNC Milling
· Extensive CNC Programming
Experience – 5 years + in manufacturing industry
