- Food Safety – BRC:
- Deputy leader of Food Safety Team
- Assist with Managing, implementing, maintaining and auditing of the Food Safety System
- Monitor and advise on continuous improvement of the
- Food Safety System.
- Fruit Quality:
- Manage, train and monitor the Quality Team
- Monitoring and communication of all fruit quality standards to ensure the final product meets requirements and standards
- Manage inspections of quality personnel
- Liaise with managers and staff in the company to ensure the Quality System is functioning properly
- Develop, implement, maintain and improve quality systems
- Ensure compliance with packing guide of the company
Knowledge & Experience
- Applicable quality management experience, preferably in fruit agriculture.
- 5 or more years of integrated exposure
- Knowledge of the fruit agricultural industry
- BRC training and experience
- HACCP training and experience
- AVCASA will be an advantage
- Internal Auditing Training and experience
- Good understanding of agricultural exports
- Extensive understanding of the portfolio of Quality Management
- General business acumen
- Product knowledge and product ranges
- Intermediate usage of Microsoft Office
- Grade 12 (Umalusi national senior certificate)
- A relevant B-Degree (M+3) (Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Food Science) at a recognized and SAQA accredited university will be advantageous.

- Reports to the Operational Manager-Systems
- Spends a fair amount of time in the production areas.
- Average of 9 working hours per day is required;
- During peak trading, extensive unpaid overtime may be required.
