Job Title: IT Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled IT Manager to oversee our organization's IT infrastructure and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our technology systems, ensuring their optimal functionality and efficiency. The IT Manager will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with other departments to implement and maintain various IT solutions that support our business objectives. Additionally, the IT Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, and vendor management to ensure our organization remains up-to-date with technological advancements.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall IT Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of the IT department, including hardware, software, networks, systems, and security.
- Manage and optimize the IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Determine staffing requirements, conduct recruitment and training, and delegate tasks effectively.

3. Systems Maintenance and Support:
- Ensure that all systems and software applications are up-to-date, functional, and secure.
- Monitor and maintain servers, databases, networks, and other infrastructure components.
- Respond to system failures, incidents, and technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

4. Security and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and information.
- Continuously assess and improve cybersecurity measures to prevent any potential threats or breaches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, such as GDPR or HIPAA.

5. Vendor Management:
- Evaluate vendor offerings, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with IT product and service suppliers.
- Liaise with vendors to deliver IT solutions, support, and maintenance, while ensuring cost-effective and high-quality services.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and evaluate potential vendors and solutions accordingly.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an IT Manager or in a similar managerial role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, networking, and security.

2. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
- Experience with databases, such as SQL, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and enterprise technologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL and project management methodologies is a plus.

3. Leadership Skills:
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

5. Certifications (preferred):
- IT certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
