 Investigate Significant Incidents and Chair Root Cause Analysis Investigations.

 Facilitate the identification and assessment of SHE Risks and update the risk register

Quality Assurance (Admin): 25%

 Manage the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System 

 Audit, evaluate and direct sites to maintain ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and CMA Certification.

 Ensure the necessary awareness is created amongst employees and management.

 Co-ordinated and executed all required training to relevant personnel.

 Facilitate external Quality Audits, conduct internal Quality Audits and monitor and report closure on Audit findings

 Manage the current Non-Conformance System and find ways to minimize Non-Conformances and keep tract of the NCR register.

 Liaise with Sales and Operations Managers to investigate, manage and minimize customer complaints.

 Create awareness of Non-Conformances amongst employees and Management to reduce Non-Conformances.

 Audit all relevant processes to pre-determine possible waste generation and quality defects.

 Maintain orderly files and documentation of all quality assurance problems, customer complaints, audits, etc.

 Report Quality statistics and information.

 Implement Quality Improvement Projects

Quality Control (Technical): 25%

 Ensure visible quality control compliance 

 Generate and display graphs with trends to create awareness amongst employees.

 Conduct on the job training to reduce defects and scrap.

 Conduct improvement studies to improve product quality.

 Ensure Quality Control Personnel are continuously trained on updated methods to improve QC on products.

 Ensure compliance at all times to the hourly control sheets.

 Generate statistical reports required by Management to trend Quality Control in the Manufacturing process.

 Monitor the amount of waste (scrap) generated in the Manufacturing process 

 Conduct regular meetings with suppliers and customers to ensure quality standards are adhered to.

 Plan and administer all paperwork relating to the quality assurance manuals and its implementation.

Equipment Assurance: 25%

 Conduct audits on machinery for machine defects and make recommendations 

 Follow up on recommendations on machine technical audits t

 Audit factory adherence to all machine inspections

 Daily machine checks / daily forklift checks

 Weekly machine inspections

 Monthly machine inspections

 Quarterly machine inspections

 Audit machine performance after major breakdowns for effectiveness and quality of the major engineering work

 Drive the implementation of maintenance standardisation and usage of material codes and bulk buying

 Review Monthly maintenance spent for adherence to company procurement procedures and use of material codes and provide supporting reports
