A Business Analyst position is available to assist in the development and execution of the retail stores and new business development in the Group's business strategy in order to achieve and exceed financial targets and ensure sustainable performance. Such an exciting position!

Title: Business Analyst
Location: Cape Town
Salary: R 600 000 to R 700 000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

This position reports to the General Manager of Retail and New Business Development
Provide value adding business analysis and recommendations of product performance, sales & profit trends, marketing and other business operations
Ensure sustainable performance is achieved by growing existing business and growth through new opportunities
Make recommendations on product pricing strategies in order to grow market share
Identify and optimise potential profit opportunities within the business
Analyse e-commerce and digital marketing performance to ensure sales performance and efficient marketing spend in collaboration with the marketing team
Collaborate with the finance team to analyse New business development opportunities and determine the feasibility thereof
Financial planning
Strategic planning
Compile and maintain budgets
Stakeholder relationship management
Financial Modelling

Education:

Degree

Job Experience:

Financial background
3 to 5 years within a retail environment within a financial/analytical role
Ability to build models
Retail, FMCG industry experience preferred
Understanding competitor behaviour and ability to analyse them
Business strategies and business objectives
Knowledge of retail policies and procedures
Power BI

Skills:

Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking
Presenting and Communicating Information
Analysis
Writing and Reporting
Detail orientation
Ability to work effectively under pressure
