A great mining company in Northern Cape is seeking the expertise of a Technical Services Manager to join their team.

Essential Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree in Mining Engineering / Geology / Surveying
• MDP
• Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
• 10 – 15 years’ experience in an opencast mining environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the GM on main operational results
• Able to implement the long–term strategic objectives formulated by the Management into planes
• Ensure the company’s knowledge base for ore body utilization is continuously evaluated and updated via geological database and coordination of all mining-related projects
• Critically asses resource modelling, mine design and strategic mine plans in coordination with the head office
• Organise the development of short-term and ultra-short-term plans
• Organise a technical session with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust planning and reconciliation
