IBM PLANNING ANALYTICS (TM1) CONSULTANT - Remote - R70 000 – R110 000 pm neg

International Business Information Systems Consulting firm, offering project management, software implementation, product development across various platforms, and including e-commerce solutions to a range of industries including banking, financial services, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods and recruitment throughout Africa and the Middle East seeks an IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Consultant to join their dynamic team. This position requires an individual who is able to support our existing client base, as well as implement new solutions for new clients. Some international travel may be required from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications:

·         A minimum 3-year tertiary qualification from an accredited university, either in Commerce or Computer Sciences Industrial Engineering;

·         A minimum 1st-year tertiary level in information systems or computer science;

·         A minimum of 1st-year tertiary level in accounting;

·         2+ years’ experience and understanding of SQL fundamentals and ability to write complex SQL queries;

·         2+ years’ experience in MS Excel and VBA;

·         Excellent technical skills;

·         Excellent problem-solving abilities;

Activities will include:

·         Engaging with clients and understanding client requirements;

·         Documenting business requirements, functional specifications and technical specifications;

·         Building TM1 cubes, dimensions and rules and setting up ETL processes;

·         Designing and developing input templates and reports using Excel and VBA;

·         Designing and developing management reports, dashboards and scorecards;

·         Designing and developing financial budgeting and forecasting systems;

·         Client training, ongoing maintenance and support. Requirements;

·         Experience in building TM1 models;

·         Experience in dealing with customers;

·         Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients at all levels of the organization;

·         Strong understanding of the fundamentals of financial accounting;

·         Strong understanding of systems design and implementation;

·         Demonstrable understanding of SQL fundamentals and ability to write complex SQL queries;

·         Demonstrable programming skills;

·         Good, demonstrable general computing knowledge, including basic troubleshooting capability on the Microsoft Windows platform, an understanding of networking fundamentals, and familiarity with application installation and support. The successful applicant will work with clients in the financial services industry and may be required to pass credit, criminal or other background checks. Applicants must be eligible to work in the Republic of South Africa.
