Main Purpose of Job: To support the service line area leadership in the implementation of strategic plan through the effective management of teams. To support the Partners in delivery of services to and/or at client premises on specific delegated engagements and projects.
Candidates preferably be based in Polokwane.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for organizing and overseeing external audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, often managing a team of auditors.
· To oversee the review process then make any necessary recommendations to change policies, implement new systems or even change employee roles and team structures.
· Will produce reports highlighting issues and providing potential solutions.
· Will actively engage with senior staff to gain a good understanding of the business.
· Will ensure compliance with the audit methodology and risk management and requirements.
· Will ensure that the team delivers results and meets the clients’ expectations.
· Will assist to develop the organization’s yearly audit plan.
· Will handle audit assignments, review all working papers and audit reports.
· Will review the management and audit reports that are prepared by other auditors.
· Will develop audit direction for the rest of the auditors in the organization.
· Will help to verify the exactness of different financial situations as they relate to liabilities, assets, expenditures, receipts, and other transactions.
· Must take part in the coordination of audit assignments and ensure good interactions with the administrators, staff, external auditors and clients.
· Must conduct follow-up on all the different audit assignments given to other auditors.
· Must be up to date with the latest trends and other issues relating to the industry.
· Must ensure proper documentation of the results of the audit evaluations.
· Must ensure that audit software is up to date.
Candidate Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Formal Education: CA (SA)
· Must have at least 2 years post qualification experience in the field.
· Extensive audit experience - alignment to specific industry sector within the Firm, shall be determined based on the individual's audit exposure and preference.
· Must have knowledge of Accounting and Auditing standards including relevant laws and regulations.
· Must have contactable references.
· Knowledge of CaseWare and Teammate audit softwares
Professional and Personal Attributes:
· Strong knowledge of standards, procedures, and general auditing policies.
· Possess great interest in working with different people.
· Strong ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling of work assignments.
· Effective and explicit communication skills in both oral and written forms.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems relating to auditing and related disciplines.
· Ability to foster a friendly work environment for team members.
· Strong knowledge in financial record keeping procedures, laws, and regulations.
· Exceptional ability to motivate, persuade, and influence others.
· Ability to analyze data and give correct interpretations.
· Computer skills: possess knowledge of Microsoft Suites, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and proficiency in the use of audit and accounting software.
· Possess good interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational skills, which relates to the prioritizing of workloads and showing a great level of resilience and calmness even when under pressure.
· Demonstrate a high level of integrity to be able to adhere to regulations and total compliance.
· Strong ability to take initiatives and make sound decisions.
