Our client is looking for a Production Manager in Johannesburg.

Duties (Included but not limited to):

• Operations 
  • Daily Production Order Maintenance scheduling. (Planning and organising production schedules) 
  • Organise workflow according to the workload to meet delivery schedules. 
  • Maintaining production control records and providing weekly/monthly reports to management with regard to delivery dates, schedules, quality issues and operating problems. 
  • Production forecasting and build scheduling at SMD contract manufacturers. 
  • Issue manufacturing data packs to SMD contract manufacturers. 
  • Monitor quality and yield on both PCB assembly and final product level. 
  • Controlling of test equipment. 
  • Ensure the accurate cost pricing of manufactured products. 
  • Manage the sourcing of electronic components and negotiate pricing and delivery with component suppliers. 
  • Prepare, update and communicate the production schedule to the production supervisor. 
  • Oversee all staff scheduling, leave requests and overtime. 
  • Conduct or authorise training of production employees. 
  • Take all necessary actions to manage production costs and improve profitability. 
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO9001). 
• ERP System 
  • Using Acumatica to run reports; Regenerate MRP and MRP Display to check for new Sales Orders. 
  • MRP Forecast reporting, managing RFQs, placing of orders on suppliers and maintaining Min/Max stock levels. 
  • Manufacturing and serialisation of products using Production Order Maintenance. 
  • Generating and maintaining Inventory Stock Items codes and descriptions. 
  • Generating and maintaining Bill of Materials in the ERP system. 
  • Generating and maintaining Inventory Safety Stock Replenishment levels in the Item Warehouse Details. 
• General 
  • Managing staff resources. 
  • Giving local product manufacturing lead times to the sales team. 
  • Oversee and control quarterly production stock takes. 
  • Assist the engineering department in industrialising new prototypes in production. 
  • Conduct formal quarterly performance reviews (KPIs) as per company policy. 
  • Control production petty cash. 
  • Comply with all relevant Environmental Health & Safety requirements. 
  • Ensure company policies & procedures are followed.
