Kontak Recruitment is currently sourcing and recruiting for an Academic Manager vacancy based in Cape Town. The Academic Manager of the online division is responsible for providing and driving innovative and transformative teaching and learning for an online mode of delivery; and academic operations that support an exceptional student learning experience and success. The Academic Manager inspires and assures the academic development of online tutors and facilitators, the achievement of high levels of student engagement and support, and a culture and service devoted to student learning experience, success, and employability. The main purposes of the academic management of online course lecturers and online academic tutors, quality assurance, certification, and general academic functions.
Educational Requirements of the Academic Manager:
Minimum of a degree
Post grad qualification in education an advantage
Master of Education preferred by not essential.
Proven work experience in higher education teaching and learning.
Passion for developing the mediation and facilitation of learning online.
Knowledge of learning theories and instructional and learning design models.
Curriculum planning skills
Knowledge of course development and NQF alignment
Duties and Responsibilities of the Academic Manager:
Academic operations
Academic development
Academic support
Assist with accreditation.
Quality assurance
Managing the delivery of programmes
All online programmes to be planned and implemented
Management of academic staff
