Westlake Country & Safari Estate is a well-managed, high-end gated community in the Skeerpoort, Northwest. It has a vacancy for an energetic, responsible, experienced, well organised and skilled technical minded person to head up its Technical & Maintenance Department. The incumbent will report directly to the Estate General Manager and supervise, control, manage and direct the maintenance and technical operations and staff of that Section, under the direction of the Estate General Manager. He will get the job done through innovative thinking, problem solving, initiative taking and effective execution.

Required Skills

town planning : 10 years or more
maintenance manager : 10 years or more

Candidate Requirements

10 years minimum in town planning and community services and experience on an estate will be an advantage. (Must include the maintenance and upkeep of sewerage plants and its various pumps & systems, electric perimeter fencing, roads, water reticulation and its various pumps & systems, electricity reticulation & its kiosks, sub-stations and generators, plant & machinery, vehicles, workshop management, inventory control, stores management, game ranging, Occupational Health & Safety Act, effective planning, utilisation, control & supervision of staff).

Building site inspections for compliance with Local and National Building Regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act will be an integral part of the responsibilities.
