We’re looking for a full-time Account Manager to join us remotely, with an estimated start date in Jan/Feb 2021.
In the role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from and work alongside our supplier partnership team (called Inspire Team) and help Truly maintain current experiences in various categories from dining to getaways.
Your role will mainly focus in discussing required product updates with Truly partners / suppliers and execute them afterwards.
This role is designed for someone who enjoys communicating and building relationships with B2B clients and takes pride in executing tasks which require thoroughness and attention to detail.
But more specifically, someone who would find satisfaction from taking care of relationships with other businesses that feature on Truly. Someone who is proactive, takes initiative, has excruciating attention to detail and regularly goes above-and-beyond. Someone who is extremely calm under pressure. Someone who is an independent thinker, this role is not for someone who is not empathetic with other people and unable to think of new solutions to problems.
Someone who aspires to be a Accounts Director some day in the hospitality / luxury travel sector.
Location: The role can be done Remotely, with regular calls conducted over video chat or phone.
Managing inbox and responding to internal and external experience requests for experience updates
Preparing sales and bookings reports
Executing experience updates
In the short-term, we expect you to be a quick-learner and to start helping and dealing with partners right away (after extensive training). But once you find your groove, we expect you to be able to nurture relationships with existing partners and execute experience updates in a timely manner.
What might be hard about this role:
Working remotely is not easy, it takes a lot of discipline, organisation and can sometimes feel lonely (but we’re a really cohesive / helpful team virtually).
Experience updates can sometimes mean repetitive tasks but varied and require a lot of attention to small detail. There will definitely be pressure and there might be an overwhelming amount of work to prioritise. And there will be times where you will encounter difficult people or situations and will need to show great communication and negotiation skills to deal with those people successfully.
What might be great about this role:
If what drives you is seeing amazing experiences come to life, talking to hospitality businesses about their passions and helping them succeed, then this role will fill you with purpose.
Moreover, the Inspire Team culture is one of constant and continuous improvement; one of dedicated learning, collaborative problem-solving and mutual growth. It’s a serious team with a fun attitude.
The company itself is also very learning-focused (you’ll see what we mean). We spend a lot of time developing our people - ensuring that they are a stronger candidate from the day they join to the day they leave.
Proactive mindset and problem solver (thinks several steps ahead)
Extremely organised and systematic, thorough thinker
Impeccable communication on phone & email (English)
Background in Leisure / Tourism / Hospitality a plus
Background in Business Development Negotiations a plus
