An External Vacancy exists for a General Manager Finance in the Guarding Division at Head Office in Centurion
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead the guarding operational finance team.
Provide financial advice to the business that considers financial best practice.
Using exceptional communication and influencing skills to develop and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships, including internal and external clients.
To prepare monthly, quarterly and financial year-end financial reports in an accurate and timely manner for the division (consolidation of the division’s reports) with detailed monthly variance analysis to prior year, KPIs
Prepare and implement long and short-term financial budgets, forecasts and capital requirements consolidated for the division and tracking versus actual reporting;
Experience in all aspects of the finance function, extremely deadline driven
Exhibits sound conceptual and analytical skills, apply intellect and knowledge in identifying critical issues;
Commercial and contract knowledge, involvement in costing/tender process for accurate contract costing;
Knowledge of workforce wages management and key focus on comprehensive contract management reviews
Ensure conformance to group and company policies and procedures across the guarding division;
Responsible for all risk, governance and legal matters for the division;
High performance required in terms of management of key cost drivers of the division, working capital requirements and management and driving efficiencies thereof (key focus on cash generation and ROFE);
To maintain and develop accounting financial systems to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements of the division;
Understanding of optimal internal control procedures and ability to develop and co-ordinate improvements;
Good understanding of the operations within the security industry as well as other functions in the organisation;
financial reports analysis : 10 years or more
SAP & VIP : 6 to 7 years
Group Finance Manager : 10 years or more
CA (SA) qualification preferred;
Relevant experience in a Group Finance Manager role will be advantageous;
Relevant experience in SAP & VIP advantageous;
MS Office essential and above average working knowledge of Excel;
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, (ability to communicate and present at all levels);
Drivers licence and own transport, clean credit and criminal record;
Required to work overtime during critical periods in finance especially during month and year end
