Senior Telecommunications Project Manager with 5+ years experience
12 Month Fixed Term Contract, potential extension to 24 Months or permanent appointment. R50k to R75k per month aimed at driving a software, contact center, risk scoring and customer service programme for a Telecoms business.

The Project Manager will oversee the program through the project life cycle to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and program objectives.
Plan and organize the management of a project, task order, series of smaller projects or a definable piece of a larger program to ensure a successful completion, and that performance goals, consistent with contract agreements and program objectives, are met or exceeded.
Oversee and monitor project financial status and performance to maintain contract budget guidelines and schedules.
Ensure sufficient and proper utilization of personnel, materials, funds, facilities, and equipment.
Act as primary contact for project matters between customers/clients and company leadership, provide briefings on project status, successes, and issues.
Provide clear direction to employees regarding compliance with applicable company, customer, and host company standards of conduct.
Coordinate activities between Telecoms companies, data providers, contact centers and suppliers.
Conduct regular meetings with customers/clients to ensure all requirements in the Statement of Work are met, changes in scope or workload are discussed and contractually documented, impacts are identified, and issues get resolved.
Report to the Managing Director and provide regular updates to the Chief Information Officer and Programme Office Manager.
Design and construct Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS).
Perform other qualified duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills:
Advanced knowledge of program management operations, telecommunication systems, consumer engagement processes and customer agreements.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (ex. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and MS Project.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, verbal/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience & Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred.
* Five (5) years’ experience in base support management or a contract similar in scope and breadth to this contract.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Previously managed telecommunications projects with consumer and credit elements
Designed and supervised the successful implementation of credit scoring and collections processes and systems changes within telecommunications projects.
Participated in planning, developing and implementing telecommunications projects.
Preferable: Managed regional IT/Telecommunications projects for contact centers.
Designed and implemented telecommunications projects with budgets between R250K and R10M.
