PERMANENT AND 2 YEAR CONTRACT POST

Requirements:

  • Registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant
  • Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted healthcare practices and procedures
  • Ability to work in a team and deal tactfully with the public
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Candidate Requirements

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide support with the provision of treatment for communicable and infectious diseases
  • Implement First Aid procedures
  • Assist with pregnancy and other tests (e.g. urine test)
  • Assist with the admission of clients
  • Direct clients to relevant service points
  • Assist with domiciliary visits/recalls
  • Apply simple dressings
  • Collect, label and dispatch specimens
  • Receive and file laboratory results
  • Counsel clients with regard to HIV/TB/TOP and reproductive health
  • Assist with quality assurance programmes and health promotion programmes
  • Assist with the collection and collation of health information data on clinical activities.
