Right to Care Malawi a local not for profit organisation is at the vanguard in supporting and delivering prevention, care, and treatment services for HIV and associated diseases. We work with government and communities to find pioneering solutions to build and strengthening public healthcare.

Our areas of expertise include HIV and TB care and treatment, Maternal and childcare and education programs, pharmacy automation, medical male circumcision, and cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment.

RTC -Malawi in collaboration with PSI will be implementing VMMC project in two districts of Mulanje and Phalombe Districts in the southern region. RTC-Malawi seek to fill the following open positions on a 36 months fixed term contract and to be based at our Blantyre Offices.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

§  Implementation of high quality VMMC programming through the provision of technical guidance and capacity building across staff system.

§  Build strategic partnerships with stakeholders in the VMMC and HIV/AIDS sector, including donors.

§  Support and participate in activities to contribute to country programme growth in the Health sector and specifically in VMMC and HIV/AIDS Program Management

§  Manage, implement and coordinate VMMC program as per program agreements.

§  Manage and supervise district teams in coordination with District team leads

§  Lead in achieving the project targets within agreed timelines, budgets and specifications

§  Draft and prepare workplan and technical reports for management reviews.

§  Conduct monthly, quarterly bi-annual and annual meetings with the Programme teams to plan monitor and evaluate programme performance

§  Prepare monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annual reports for the Programme and submit timely


Candidate Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

§  MBBS: Medical background

§  MPH: Master’s in public health

§  3 years’ experience in clinical delivery   of VMMC program and management.

§  3 years’ experience in leading healthcare project management with extensive knowledge of global health systems, program structuring as well as resource planning for healthcare programs

 

Desired experience

§  Clinical Certificate in VMMC

§  VMMC, HIV clinical and/or HIV management skills.

§  Previous experience in NGO or donor grant management

 

 

 

TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

§  Able to work independently

§  Attention to detail

§  Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

§  Good experience in working with different teams

§  Excellent oral and written communication skill
