Sappi Limited requires an energetic and proactive Senior Internal Auditor - IT who will be based at the Sappi Global Head Office (Rosebank) or Sappi Global Business Services (Umhlanga Rocks) to complete audit projects in accordance with professional and Sappi internal audit standards, that support the Internal Audit function in enhancing and protecting Sappi’s organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight.

 

This role reports to: Audit Manager - IT

 

The main responsibilities of this job are:

 

  • Conduct IT, Financial, and Operational audits of global, regional, and complex systems, and business processes. 
  • Determine and adapt the audit programme for audit projects, focussing on the key risk areas in accordance with relevant frameworks including ITIL, COBIT, and other related IT frameworks.
  • Execute the audit steps, applying IT audit technical competencies including information gathering, documentation, evaluation, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Report and present findings and recommendations to Management.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage own audit project schedule, timelines and progress to complete assignments on time and within budget.
  • Adhere to required professional ethics and standards including: the IIA Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and ISACA standards and guidelines. 

 

The ideal candidate should have:

 

  • Relevant Bachelors’ degree (Information technology, finance, risk etc.)
  • Minimum five years' relevant experience (IT Security, audit)
  • Professional certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, MCSE, CISA)
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally (+- 30% travel)
  • Advanced report writing expertise
