KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying, developing and establishing new markets within Southern Africa and Mozambique.
  • Developing and distributing strategies and marketing plans for the product range.
  • Monitoring market trends and changes and adjusting distribution channels accordingly.
  • Ensuring Sales Team and Technical Advisors are trained on the application of specific AGRI products.
  • Organising, coordinating and attending Farmers’ days, agricultural events and marketing conferences.
  • Assisting clients and sales team with all technical aspects of in-house and third-party products.
  • Liaising with Senior Management regarding new product opportunities.
  • Conducting risk assessment, analyses and management of Distributors.
  • Motivate staff to sell
  • Hold regular meetings/reviews with staff to improve business growth
  • Plan bi-annual stock takes
  • Perform daily checks on stock takes and ordering 
  • Inventory control – perform daily stock checks on at least 20 part numbers, and delegate perpetuals.
  • Manage cash sales
  • Manage debtors in conjunction with the financial department (debtor’s clerk)
  • Daily liaison with the general manager (DP) for outstanding parts on workshop carry-overs
  • Liaise with the General Manager to clean up outstanding orders from sales team.
  • Conduct weekly visits to customers
  • Bring new business on a regular basis
  • Liaise with suppliers on back orders
  • Maintain good relations with staff, workshop, parts suppliers, and clients.
  • Review monthly management accounts to identify out of line performances/activities
  • Analyse management accounts and take required corrective measures
  • Experience with a renowned Dealer Management System is required

Required Skills

  • Experience in Agricultural Industry : 5 to 6 years
  • Management experience in sale and Agri : 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Agricultural industry is essential.
  • Experience in agricultural sales in Southern Africa and Mozambique is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years within a management role is required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel.
  • Experience with a renowned Dealer Management System is required
  • Tractor and Agricultural equipment Parts and Management experience & knowledge
  • Customer communications and relationships
  • Driver’s license
  • Computer literate
  • Must have contactable references
  • Must have stable track record
  • Must have Parts Management experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric
  • a B.Tech. Agric or B.Sc. Agric degree, strong advantage.
  • AVCASA accreditation, will be an advantage.
