The mission of the Account Executive: Recruitment is to place our developers within our customer base of over 700 potential hiring partners by pitching the HyperionDev Connect placement services and marketing our developer graduates across our placement pipeline. 

 

This is an opportunity for an agency Recruiter to transition your career into a internal placements team where you will combine your specialist sales and IT recruitment skills to actively grow and manage our database of client companies and to achieve our placement targets. As the largest coding education service provider in Southern Africa, HyperionDev is committed to closing the tech skills gap through allowing businesses access to affordable, junior tech talent.

 

The role will require a confident and professional candidate who will be responsible for connecting with potential hiring companies based on market knowledge and research as well as leads generation and professional networking.  The role also requires continuous interaction with our graduate developers throughout the placement process and as well as updating the pipeline on the CRM.

We are looking for team members who are competitive, ambitious, and have a track record of over-achieving and exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in securing placements for current and expected graduates by growing client company database

  • Be able to engage and develop relationships with prospective hiring companies by continuous market research and lead generation

  • Be able to discuss our developer placements value proposition with different client companies

  • Ensure client and partner pipelines grow and remain relevant through regular contact

  • Understanding the needs and requirements of hiring companies based on knowledge of the technical recruitment industry 

  • Understanding placement partners recruitment cycles and update the placement pipeline on the CRM

  • Support and prepare developer graduates for placements

  • Ensure developer graduates’ profiles are complete and ready to present to hiring companies

  • Actively engage with developer graduates to ensure technical portfolios, resumes and social media profiles are of high quality and meet our standards

  • Engage with developer graduates throughout the placement cycle to arrange interviews, assessments and feedback

  • Ensuring the CRM is continuously updated and accurate with developer graduates’ information as well as continuously updating the CRM tool at each step of the placement process

  • Offer developer graduates support in order to  increase possibility of entry into the workplace

  • Constant communication with developer graduates to ensure their information is represented correctly and that they are prepared and willing to join each role that they are interviewed for

  • Communicate growth opportunities and remuneration structures to each dev partner as well as facilitate the information flow of the requirements of each client company

  • Ensure developer graduates are ready for interviews, prepared as well as informed to ensure a seamless placements process and excellent hiring company experience

  • Provide feedback and updates to developer grads on a continuous basis

 


Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Technical recruitment experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a IT technical recruitment team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding reporting skills

  • Ability to problem solve and relationship build 

  • Experience working with an ATS or CRM system 

Advantageous

 

  • Experience with software development hiring & education processes

  • Prior tech startup experience in a high-growth and ambitious environment

  • At least 2 years experience in a customer-facing role for a tech business

  • Interest in recent pedagogical advances in computing and online education

  • Interest and experience in the coding education and ed-tech space
