We are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for our Joint Venture CBRE Excellerate located at our offices in Johannesburg to be responsible for the finance function with operations across 35 countries across the Middle East & Africa (including South Africa, Mauritius, Sub Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East - approximately 28 legal entities).

This role will oversee the finance function and is expected to significantly contribute to the achievement of the growth plan through the setting and delivery of key initiatives, active leadership of people and processes, a high level of customer interaction and engagement and governance of the Company's financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Key accountabilities:

* To ensure the full financial function operates efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to budgeting, management and statutory accounting and reporting, internal and external audit, risk management, treasury, all company and employee taxation and funding requirements, forecasting and other duties as such a position would require.
* To continually look to enhance the IT function of the Company in respect to Finance and to continually improve the Company's internal controls.
* To ensure that finance is seen as a value adding business partner.
* To develop Finance's influence in the making of business decisions.
* To oversee and manage all aspects of the Financial Department.
* Employees in this band are expected to make the rules and establish precedents enabling lower bands to produce. They interpret the strategy laid out by the Board by applying material and manpower resources to achieve objectives outlined in the strategy specific to minor organizational function.
* This position operates within budget parameters and the decision framework
* They are the final finance decision maker for the joint ventures and respective legal entities.

Experience / Education required:

* Chartered Accountant (SA) with 3 years articles and 8 years relevant experience.
* Experience in the property or facility management industry preferable with experience of managing a turnover in excess of R500m
* Experience working in a multinational organization is preferred, with ability to strict and tight reporting deadlines. Ability to deal with the high volume and complexity of the various divisions and companies in the region along with the complexity of reporting needs.
* Experience in managing a team of up to 7 direct line reports
* Computer literacy: SAP/SAP BI; MS Office - Excel advanced, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word;
* Time management, advanced financial reporting and analysis, policies and processes, people management, business planning and forecasting, stakeholder management.
* Detailed knowledge of all financial policies, procedures and processes, capital expenditure, contract management -legal aspects, full suite of reporting statements, budgets, forecasts, IFRS, US GAAP and Tax.
