Our client is looking for a Technical Support Manager

Enable the IS3 Technical Team to provide essential services to ensure customers systems are delivered, maintained and improved.

Technical Support
• Provide technical support to the AVEVA Product Range
• Provide onsite Customer/SI Support
• Keep up to date with product technical features and understand how the product is applied
• Keep Product Certificates up to date
• Develop and revise statements of work, which should include accurate time and cost estimates for           Consulting
• Meet with clients to refine and evaluate requirements, strategy and content needs
• Analyse and report on: number of cases seen, number of resolved cases and resolution time
 Technical Knowledge Base
• Submit articles to the AVEVA Technical Knowledge Base
• Initiate articles from your own experience regularly
• Maintain a high level of competency in the products that you specialize in
• Research and introduce new technologies for all employees and management
  Management
• Manage, Mentor and provide the technical team with technical advice and support
• Manage and own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of Technical Team
• Maintains the relevant ISO procedures and policies for the relevant department
• Manage the Technical Support systems to ensure optimal functionality
• Manage the technical team to ensure they keep up to date with product certification
• Manage training department employees to ensure they have the necessary skills to conduct training     effectively and to the required IS3 standard
• Manage the support desk employees and systems to ensure that calls are resolved to meet the customers’   expectations
• Manage support desk systems (e.g. Microsoft CRM) to ensure the working model is fully operational
• Ensure and Maintain team members up-skilling of product sets
• Assist in creating in-house standards
• Present training on AVEVA products.
• Training on AVEVA products in the Sub Saharan Africa area as the IS3 training schedule requires
• Present training to the standard and quality prescribed by IS3 and relevant National and International Standards and ensure you remain certified on the products that you train
Marketing Activities
• Assist with marketing activities like Conferences, Breakfasts, Golf Days etc…
• Prepare and present on the IS3 Southern Africa products at marketing events

Educational Qualification:
• Matric Certificate
• BSc in Computer Sciences or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or the equivalent

Required Product Knowledge:
• AVEVA product range

Knowledge and Experience:
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• At least 1-3 years of management experience

• Good attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

• Negotiation: able to negotiate with customers to maximize customer relations and product performance
• Communication both Verbal and Written

• Multitasking: The diverse nature of Sales Operations responsibilities means having a wide variety of skills that can be employed simultaneously
• Computer literacy on MS Office including Outlook
