An exciting opportunity for an Accounting Graduate with no working experience is vacant within our Finance division. the internship will help the successful candidate acquire practical accounting and finance skills which will provide them with sound knowledge and experience within the corporate industry.



Duties and Responsibilities


The Successful candidate will be required to assist with a range of tasks within the finance department:




  • Shadowing members of the Accounting department as they perform their duties.
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.
  • Working with bookkeeping software.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyse data, track information, and support the company or clients.
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.


·         To collect, understand, process, verify and report accounting related information to


·         his/her vertical head


·         Be given professional analytical and management support work assignments


·         Assistance may be required in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports


·         Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases and other computer applications





Candidate Requirements


Qualifications and other requirements




·         Must have completed an NQF level 6 Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting


·         The intern must have knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and


·         financial analysis (IFRS for SME’s and/or GAAP)


·         Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form


·         Should be capable of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation


·         Sound knowledge of computers, various software applications and standard office equipment


·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.


·         High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.


·         Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.


·         Other skills required are related to problem solving, entering and verifying data
