Profile: This position is directly responsible and accountable for the operations of the various hotels. The Operations Director will also be involved in formulating the annual budget and monthly forecasting and ensuring that the strategy developed is being adhered to. 

Line Manager: Chief Operating Officer (HQ Casablanca) 

Duties and Responsibilities(Not limited to): Ensuring sales and revenue targets are met, monitoring conversion rates and pricing, ensuring that standard operating procedures are adhered to and that guest satsisfaction feedback is received and monitored to eliminate any issues arising,developing relationships with suppliers to assess the quality of goods and services received for performance assessments. Overseeing supplies, inventory or purchasing. Determining staffing and training needs,ensuring that each property meets all the legal requirements including health & safety.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification & Experience: Honours or Masters Degree in either hospitality or business management, at least 10 years’ experience at Senior Management level or equivalent, fluent in English and French (read and write), must have Senior Executive experience working internationally (outside Africa) within the hospitality industry. 

Required Skills: All applicants must have an understanding of; business functions such as Human Resources, finance, sales and marketing; be competent in strategic planning, have leadership abilities and interpersonal skills to be able to motivate staff and deal with conflict management; must be able to clearly demonstrate problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment; be able to meet deadlines and multi-task to be able to move between the requirements of different hotels in different provinces; be able to work extended hours and over holidays and weekends including travelling either inside or outside of the country; have valid transport available; be a team player yet coach and mentor colleagues where necessary; be able to build and retain relationships with suppliers and shareholders; be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and provide innovative ideas for the operations of the hotels and lastly; have an excellent understanding budgets and finances from an operational perspective.
