Seeking a regional Human Resources Business Partner who will need to provide efficient, proactive and value-added HR services across the employee lifecycle. The person will serve as an expert in their field to assist with human resource related issues for the African region.

  • Financial KPI’s:
    • Responsible for creating and managing the annual Manpower cost budget – and ensure variances are reported and managed on a timely basis
    • Assist in developing and maintaining a Recruitment strategy to decrease costs associated with recruitment – and have clear measurements in place to track cost per hire and time to fill a vacancy
  • Customers:
    • Manage the entire employee lifecycle of employees and consultants, which should include:
      • Managing the entire recruitment process which includes posting job adverts, screening CV’s, preparing interview packs, arranging interviews, psychometric assessments, background checks, criminal checks, etc.
      • Arranging a full induction programme for all new joiners, including a comprehensive HR on boarding
      • Coordinating the separation activities involved in exciting employees, which includes payouts, exit interviews (if applicable), managing the approval and documentation process, technical aspects such as cancelling email addresses, returning of company equipment and basic housekeeping such as informing the relevant stakeholders
      • Assist in creating a robust talent pipeline to improve the Company’s attraction strategy
      • Monthly HR Reporting (including Budget vs Actuals, Headcount, Employee analytics, forecasting, turnover, etc.)
  • Internal Processes:
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
    • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
    • Fostering and maintaining a work environment that encourages respect, and is free from discriminatory or harassing behaviour 
    • Develop, Evaluate & drive corporate policies & procedures
    • Managing the entire payroll function for your specific areas
    • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
    • Understand, implement and make recommendations for changes and approvals of the local salary structures
    • Advises Managers on all matters impacting the human resources function in the regions
    • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
    • Consult with line management to provide any additional HR guidance and support where appropriate 
  • Training & Development:
    • Assist in building an L&D strategy for the region and manage the training matrix accordingly
    • As part of the Performance Appraisal process, HR needs to ensure all employees attend at least 2 training sessions per financial year (this can include e-learning, classroom training or attending seminars/webinars)

Candidate Requirements

  • Honours Degree in Human Resources or a related field will be an advantage
  • Qualification must be from a highly reputed International accredited institute
  • 4+ Year’s working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including Change management, Talent management, Performance management, Capacity building, Learning and development, Reward and recognition and Employee relations
  • Multinational experience is critical
