A well-established Direct Water Treatment Industry in Hammarsdale is seeking an Account Manager to join their team. Salary to be discussed in interview

Key Performance Areas:

 

·        Maintaining and improving SHERQ performance to deliver targeted sales at the lowest possible risk to the company

·        Managing the sales account to execute strategies and meet stakeholder requirements to fund growth of the Company

·        Identification of sales opportunities and closure on these with high quality written proposals and oral presentations

·        Effectively retaining and expanding business to grow sales and profit margins to achieve business objectives

·        Providing meaningful and insightful technical service for key customers

·        Ensuring the execution of an effective marketing strategy

·        Leading, directing and managing teams to ensure they have clear direction, effective leadership and are well motivated and aligned

·        Managing and implementing Continuous Improvement and other projects

·        Travel and support business requirements in South Africa and outside of South Africa and when the need arises

·        Coach and mentor fellow associates on industry related applications

·        aggressively sell programs based on value and prevent attrition of existing business

Required Skills

  • technical sales : 5 to 6 years
  • account manager : 1 to 2 years

Candidate Requirements

·     Minimum of 5 years’ Technical Sales experience within the General Water Treatment Industry

·     Must have experience in managing Export Accounts

·     Have technical and interpersonal skills

·     Have experience in a Chemical Manufacturing industry related to water treatment

·     Have a Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering

·     Having a Post Graduate Business Qualification will be advantageous

·     Have technical knowledge of industries related to chemistry & technology and how they impact on customer processes

·     Experience with process chemistry selling will be an advantage

·     Have experience with continuity of chemical supply, inclusive of deliveries and housekeeping

·     Experience with conducting site meetings or discussions with levels of customers on site

·     Must have strict adherence or compliance with customer standards and required results which is chemical, or plant related

·     Experience with budgeting and general administration

·     Have experience with service reports and discussed with the customer regarding service reports
