Our client, a national textile manufacturing company, seeks to employ a Junior/Trainee Electronics Technician, with certification in Industrial Electronics and 1-2 years maintenance experience, in the FMCG (Textiles preferably) sector.

 Please note:  this role is part of our client’s community upliftment programme and we will only be reviewing applications from the surrounding area, with preference to those from the Northern Suburbs.  No candidate outside of the Cape Town region will be considered.

• You will have sound knowledge of electronic systems used in a  fast paced, high speed, medium sized plant and be able to assist with machinery and equipment breakdowns, preventative maintenance projects, fault finding, repair, modification, reassembly and installation of equipment, as well as all administration and procurement for the electrical department.
• You will be able to self-manage schedules, apply your technical knowledge effectively and efficiently, be proactive is assisting on productivity within the plant and able a team player The ability to work overtime and some Saturdays in peak period is essential.
