Our client within their Corporate Finance team has a vacancy for a Valuations Manager who will spend the bulk of his/her time on specialised valuations, with limited time spent on financial due diligences and JSE advisory work.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Primary Brand and Operational Responsibilities:



  • Valuations & Business Modelling Services

  • Focus on valuations of businesses and intangible assets for M&A, tax, financial reporting and dispute purposes, as well as market research, cash flow projections, business plan reviews and business modelling


Secondary Brand and Operational Responsibilities



  • Participate in projects for our service lines with clients such financial institutions, funds and private equities, family shareholders, corporations and Trusts

  • Corporate Finance Advisory: Deal with M&A projects including sale mandates, buy mandates, financial modelling and related services

  • M&A Transaction Services: Support financial due diligence projects on both the buy and the sell side, and business modelling projects

  • Growth & Turnaround: Work on the crossroads between Corporate Finance and Strategy Consulting and focus on both pre- as well as post- M&A solutions

  • Help with issues such as growth strategy, performance improvement, turnarounds, financial & operational restructuring, integrations and separations/carve outs


Financial responsibilities:



  • Contribute to the day-to-day activities of Corporate Finance client service teams executing on business improvement initiatives

  • Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks including, but not limited to: financial modelling, business process optimization, data analytics and visualization, financial statement review, and business plan assessments

  • Collaborate with experts, professionals from other firms and client personnel to achieve engagement objectives

  • Assist with preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables

  • Participate in the development of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice including assisting in marketing, client pitches and product and practice development

  • Demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality and integrity

  • To develop growth strategies based on their organizational goals, our services are designed to help clients be prepared to capitalize on opportunities


Training:



  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training


REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:



  • CA(SA)

  • Minimum 2 years Corporate Finance or equivalent experience (essential)

  • Chartered Business Valuation (CBV) or equivalent designation (essential)

  • Partial / fully complete CFA (preferred)
