SYNOPSIS: Dutton Plastics Engineering is a major producer of, among other things, high quality Plumbing Products [cisterns, toilet seats, traps, wastes and mechanisms] and Packaging Products [Spray through Aerosol and dust caps including Actuators]  and is based at Alrode industrial area in Alberton, some 22km south east of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. It employs ±250 permanent employees nationally with branches at Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.

KEY OBJECTIVE:

To professionally manage the Financial Department.

     To plan, direct, manage and develop all aspects relating to financial planning and control within the company to ensure the long-term financial viability of these investments in terms of group financial goals.

     To maintain financial and physical control over all company assets and liabilities in accordance with legal requirements, group policy and generally accepted accounting practice (GAAP).

     To oversee the continuous improvement in the finance function and ensure a consistent approach to all financial issues within the group.

     To ensure equitable employment practices and good industrial relations and to provide a healthy and safe working environment in accordance with statutory requirements and group policy and procedure in accordance with the company budget and strategic intend, so that the overall profitability of the company which operates from the manufacturing plant in Alrode will be enhanced

Candidate Requirements

1.     Education:     Grade 12

2.     Qualification: CA (SA)

3.  Experience : 5 – 10 years experience at senior financial management level in manufacturing environment, and 5 years experience in the implementation, development and maintenance of information systems (preferably ERP systems e.g. Syspro, etc.), and 5+ years credit management experience, commodity risk hedging experience

4.  Other : Analytical thinker with strong leadership & management qualities and be experience in other business disciplines with ethical and confidentiality skills
