Our client is seeking Traders to join their team. They specialise in physical deliveries on an international basis and their fields of expertise include Agricultural, Petroleum and Mineral products.

Job Overview



  • The ideal candidate is a talented, motivated Trader that is excited by entrepreneurial responsibilities and an aggressive profit-sharing remuneration system on top of our basic salary structure.

  • The candidate must have an in-depth fundamental knowledge of the physical market in which they specialises, including product, price drivers, customers, suppliers and logistics, with a proven track record of executing profitable transactions.


Responsibilities and Duties


 



  • Establish a profitable division/expansion within the company.

  • Compile an annual income budget detailing volumes, counterparties, margins and indicative cash flow required to achieve budget.

  • Stay abreast of all developments influencing local and international market trends impacting your division.

  • Negotiate, conclude and execute transactions adhering to their trade mandate.

  • Supervise and inspire support staff form a task perspective and take accountability for the effective execution for the entire transaction chain in your division.


Experience:


A Proven trading track record will be the most crucial candidate appointment screen.


Education:



  • Minimum: Grade 12.

  • A tertiary qualification relating to your field of expertise will count in your favor.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Strong relationships with key market players.

  • Solution enthused problem solving.

  • Excellent verbal and written Communication skills.

  • Emotional intelligence and interpersonal etiquette.

  • Ability to recognise when to act independently and when to seek guidance/confirmation in decision making.

  • Ability to operate within a complex trading environment in compliance with Company`s ethics, values and trade mandate.

  • Business opportunity identification and development. 

  • Risk and control management.

  • Good organisational and administrative skills.

  • Thrive under pressurised environments.
