Great opportunity for young Accountant with one year experience in Accounts to do their SAIPA Articles with reputable small Accounts Firm.

Requirements:

  • BCom with Accounting subjects or equivalent
  • Experience with Pastel, Cloud Accounting and/or Caseware will be an advantage
  • Must have own transport
  • Non-smoker preferable
  • Bilingual Afrikaans / English

 Experience with focus on:

  • Drafting of annual financial statements on preferably Caseware Working Papers Income tax calculations for companies and individuals
  • Pastel bookkeeping up to Trail Balance (including Asset registers & depreciation)
  • VAT calculations and Vat reconciliations
  • Monthly Management Accounts
  • Budgets (experience advantageous)
  • Payroll & Easyfile (experience advantageous)
  • Secretarial experience i.e. CIPC (experience advantageous)
  • E-filing (experience advantageous)

 Duties:

  •  Bookkeeping up to trial balance (incl. asset registers, deprecation, journals, debtor & creditor recons)
  • Yearend closing journals on client’s file and/or at client
  • VAT calculations and returns on E-filing
  • VAT reconciliations
  • Monthly Management Accounts
  • Invoicing on behalf of clients e.g. rental invoices
  • Payroll – weekly & monthly payrolls incl. submissions of EMP201
  • UIF-UI19's and monthly UIF emails
  • WCA submissions & reports
  • Easyfile reconciliations and submissions
  • Income tax calculations for companies, Trusts and individuals
  • Company secretarial work (CIPC and CLOUDSEC)
  • Assistance with secretarial task/work as required
  • VAT, PAYE, UIF & WCA registrations
  • Drafting of annual financial statements on Caseware Working Papers
  • Assistance on small audits
  • Budgets
  • SARS visits
  • All competencies/tasks required by SAIPA to complete the SAIPA articles
  • Ad Hoc / assistance with internal tasks / internal admin
