Petty Cash Controller (Finance Department) – Cape Town 


 


Our client, based in CBD has an  opportunity in their Finance Department for a Petty Cash Controller. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Receiving petty cash request and approve distribution of petty cash on a daily basis

  • Petty cash forecast to ensure sufficient availability of funds and cashflow

  • Petty Cash Analysis – Scrutinize bank accounts and statements of all individual petty cash Nedbank Cards and investigate all fraudulent, unauthorised or suspicious spend. Report discrepancies to the Financial Controller and Head of Finance for further action


Competencies:



  • Attention to detail and ensure accuracy

  • Computer Literate (MS Office, Excel, ERP System, Pastel, Electronic Banking)

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills

  • Strictly deadline driven

  • Be able to cope under pressure

  • Analysing and interpretation of financial information

  • Planning, co-ordinating and prioritising


 


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Accounting: 3 Years - Required

  • High School (Matric) - Required

  • 3-5 year’s experience as a reconciliations clerk

  • Very meticulous with great attention to detail

  • Clear credit and criminal history, as per our client's requirements


 


Salary - Negotiable on experience
