Together with our client, we are recruiting for an Occupation Health Nurse in a permanent role.



  • The OHNP need to provide medical assistance to staff, residents, contractors and visitors.
  • The OHNP will be responsible for ensuring the health and  welfare of all persons while on the premises of the company.
  • Direct and coordinate Primary and Occupational Health are activities and promote employee Wellness in the workplace and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Attend OHS Committee meetings as the Occupational Health advisor.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, updated and confidential health records for each employee and other.
  • Plan clinic times around employee needs
  • Plan time for workplace visits, risk assessments, audits and consultation with workers.
  • Establish and provide training, education and  counselling to all persons at the premises of the company.
  • Prepare monthly Occupational Health reports and  statistics in conjunction with the receptionist/administrator; it is purely the function of the receptionist/administrator but the occ health  nurse will be responsible to ensure she gets all the necessary information.
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders  including Occupational Medical Practitioner and others
  • Build effective working relationships.
  • Follow up on al staff related injuries on duty (IOD's), assist with the incident investigations and management of COID Injuries

Candidate Requirements


  • Must have a diploma/degree in occupational health with all the necessary documents, e.g. audiometry, spirometry, vision
  • Registration with SANC as an OHNP or SASOHN Membership
  • Must have 3 or more years experience as an Occupational Health Nurse
  • Dispensing certificate
  • Family planning qualification
  • Valid drivers licence
  • General Nursing, Industrial nursing and Primary Health care skills
  • Knowledge of relevant security and emergency procedures
  • Must have reliable transport



Working hours

  • Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 – 17h00 or 07h00 – 16h00
  • No weekends and no public holidays
