Define seasonal visual merchandising principles and standards, train all stakeholders to effectively implement and maintain these to achieve the required brand image.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
1. Customer Experience:
a. Conceptualise VM Principles for each Season and Key promotions
i. Identify correct stories in line with buying strategy.
ii. Provide store specific solutions for layout deviations from VM guideline.
b. Visual Merchandising and Housekeeping
i. Oversee effective implementation of the seasonal VM Principles and guidelines contained in the Lookbook, VM principles and other ad hoc comms
ii. Manage a national housekeeping standard
iii. Once core concept is tried and tested, appoint a Visual Merchandising team to align and work with Operations team
iv. Offer support for Regional visual managers to reach regional targets
v. Ensure VM practices are creative and reflective of trader mentality
vi. Ensure that all stores illustrate a consistent visual image
vii. Drive new visual merchandising ideas
viii. Ensure that all deadlines for launches and promotions are met
ix. Following up on a store level
x. Ensure synergy between the Visual Merchandising Department and the Planning, Buying, Marketing and Operations Departments.
xi. Ensuring the Marketing packs and campaigns are initiated economically, effectively and timeously
xii. Ensure Marketing Campaigns are processed digitally across all store screens.
a. Stock Management
i. Monitor stock volumes and performance in stores and provide feedback
ii. Ensure that the VM’s consider department contribution percentage when planning store layouts
iii. Interpret stock reports and provide feedback to the team
iv. Consider the impact of visual merchandising decisions on potential stock losses.
v. Ensure you submit all necessary admin support on time
i. Ensure that you prioritize stores according to their visual needs
ii. Ensure orders of visual equipment for new and revamped stores are done correctly
iii. Ensure Look books and VM principles are sent out timeously
iv. Check and action e-mails timeously and meet all deadlines required
c. Store Design
i. Contribute to the new store design meetings
ii. Liaise with Designer to come up with better merchandise ideas for store design
