My client, based in Brooklyn, Cape Town, is looking for a Sales Executive in the locks / Building / Scaffolding industry that has experience selling to the hospitality industry such as Hotels, restaurants, guest houses etc. 

 

Position Responsibilities;

  • External sales person seeing 15 customers per week
  • Cold calling will be required
  • Managing of key accounts
  • Setting up meetings
  • Doing quotes
  • Reaching of monthly targets
  • Manage projects and clients expectation
  • Travelling will be required in the East, West and Northern Cape Town Region
  • Daily call activity report to be submitted by COB everyday
  • Good communications skills
  • Know scaffolding products inside out and able to highlight the differences between competitor products.
  • Have good negotiation skills
  • Generate leads through networking
  • Attending road shows or yearly hospitality shows
  • Must be an out of the box thinker
  • Source alternative markets for products

Required Skills

  • external sales experience : 4 to 5 years
  • hospitality industry : 1 to 2 years
  • Scaffolding knowledge : 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

  • Own car in good working condition is essential
  • Matric is essential
  • Previous experience in the scaffolding industry is essential
  • Previous external Sales experience in the Scaffolding industry is essential
  • Previous experience in the Hospitality industry will be a great advantage!
  • Computer Literate
  • Understand and use of basic Electronics
  • Understand and be able to do costings, manage margins, managing pipeline and sales targets
