Reporting to Technical Manager:


Planning, coordinating and monitoring engineering projects and ensuring customer requirements are met while adhering to quality standards and procedures as documented.

•Development of Process documentation including FMEA, Control Plan and Process Work Instructions.

•Involvement in new product Team Feasibility Analysis

•Interpret customer specific requirements on a professional basis and align these requirements with best practice solutions

•Evaluation and approval of supplier PPAP submissions

•Involvement in Project Sample builds

•Planning and co-ordination of product and process Capability Studies.

•Generation and submission of customer specific PPAP and PSW documentation.

•Controlling the risk management of various projects

•Direct liaison with customer Quality representative

Required Skills

  • microsoft project : 3 to 4 years
  • mechanical engineer : 2 to 3 years
  • project managements skills : 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements


•Minimum requirement –Matric (Grade12) & National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

•Project Management Diploma advantageous

•At least 2 years projects experience with a proven track record.

•Computer literacy in MS Office, Autocad & Microsoft Project is essential

•CATIA and Siemens NX basic knowledge beneficial.

•Good communication and interpersonal skills

•Ability to work in a team

•Ability to interpret engineering drawings

•Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

•Fully conversant in Customer specific APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA, and Control Plans

•Sound technical capabilities and understanding

•Sound understanding of Measurement Systems Analysis

•Familiarity of IATF16949 standard

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally sit and continuously be required to walk or stand. Job requires use of hands for repetitive action for the use of office equipment. The job requires employees to travel for long periods of time at least once a week.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to chemicals, noise, dust, change in temperature and cramped areas
