Main purpose / objective of the position:

Perform a support function to the Technical Manager, specifically relating to the administration of Utilities.

* To resolve queries relating to utilities with the relevant municipalities.

* To monitor utilities procedures and compliance within the portfolio.

* Data integrity-scrutinising invoices and other documentation for accuracy and making comments on remediation.

* To report on energy management and consumption in the portfolio and for the sustainability report.

* To liaise and negotiate with distributors and regulatory bodies relevant to the portfolio regarding billing issues.

* Review and audit of all leases to ensure accurate billings in terms of:

* All charges per the lease

* Including GLA, etc.

Experience / Education:

Matric with Maths. At least 2 years administration experience, preferably within a finance/audit or utilities environment.

Skills & Knowledge required:

* Aptitude for figures and financial skills

* Knowledge of specific discipline - Utilities Management

* Legislation and regulations with regards to municipal/government supply and services requirements.

* Industry knowledge specific to area of accountability

* Computer Literacy

* Negotiations skills
