Duties & Responsibilities

Supervises, plans, advises and coordinates all HVAC & refrigeration related maintenance. Assists the inspections, engineering and reliability departments in implementing inspections, predictive maintenance and new standards/regulations/guidelines to the HVAC service line.  Improve the overall maintenance and reliability of HVAC assets.

Qualifications:

Minimum National Diploma, preferably BTech/BSc

 

Minimum five  years’ experience in relevant field

 

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Supervises and evaluates HVAC Manpower

 

•             Plans, follow ups and ensures implementation of CMMS / Maximo and quality management system

 

•             Works in conjunction with engineering and reliability to evaluate HVAC equipment and systems performance and take necessary actions

 

•             Conducts internal maintenance general inspections to ensure quality and site readiness

 

•             Analyses HVAC maintenance performance set by KPIs & indicators and produces reports to higher management

 

•             Plans, repairs and overhauls all campus HVAC & refrigeration equipment and systems

 

•             Supports subordinates in professional development

 

•             Manages HVAC and refrigeration spare parts, critical & non critical  including consumable materials

 

•             Ensures that client complaints are resolved properly

 

•             Coordinates and assesses any modifications to new HVAC Equipment being installed or commissioned that may come under the maintenance of MACC

 

•            

 

•             Direct line manager to all  HVAC Supervisors for reporting and control

 

•             Handling all HVAC related site issues and assist the engineering department in root cause analysis or design issues

 

•             Assist the engineering department in conducting   design issues or reviews

 

•             Have a strong working knowledge of Maximo maintenance software

 

•             Prepare HVAC maintenance shift schedule and ensure adequate skills are available 24/7

 

•             Evaluate periodically all manpower and prepare training needs, apply the general  MACC succession plan

 

•             Control HVAC spare parts requisitions and coordinate with stores for stock levels. Prepare substitution forms in conjunction with the engineering department

 

•             Review periodically all HVAC maintenance plans and resolve any scheduling issues with the planning/scheduling team

 

•             Identify critical equipment and systems and prepare start up, hut down procedures and  contingency/redundancy plans

 

•             Work in conjunction with BMS to Monitor and HVAC operating  system parameters. Assist the engineering department to confirm matching with design and commissioning documents at all times

 

•             Work with the engineering department to monitor obsolete systems and ensure  adequate levels of spare parts are available

 

•             Report obsolete systems to the manager for further coordination with concerned

 

•             Coordinates the routine for assisting engineering in  HVAC RCA

 

•             Works in conjunction with HSE to review HVAC SSOWs periodically to confirm adequacy to the work control. Recommends amendments accordingly using the proper risk assessment and method statement

 

•             Conducts surveys of asset conditions and assesses remaining useful life. Reports findings to management

 

•             Conduct internal audit and inspections of  work on site and provides corrective support and instructions to the team

 

•             Apply critical spare parts  procedures and obtains approval of client for reimbursement

 

•             Prepare weekly mitigation files and obtain client approvals

 

•             Performs any relevant duties as required or assigned by management

 

Provides all required assistance during emergency maintenance and shutdowns

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

Ability to supervise, guide and coordinate

 

Thorough knowledge from a HVAC maintenance related field

 

Understands and can resolve technical issues

 

Ability to effectively organize, delegate and coordinate work

 

Effective communication skills

 

Ability to read technical drawings and to interpret commissioning procedures

 

Ability to read, write and speak in English

 


Candidate Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in related field
