Our client, a leading manufacturer of precision mechanical products, seeks to employ a Maintenance Planner at their facilities near Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements:

* National Diploma or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years' experience gained as a Maintenance Planner within a Manufacturing environment
* Previous supervisory experience would be an advantage
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Project);
* Knowledge of ERP Systems and other systems for maintenance planning;

Responsibilities:

* Ensuring optimal availability and performance of the plant and equipment reliability;
* Ensure a high level of internal customer satisfaction through fast and effective service provisions;
* Developing, reviewing and updating all maintenance schedules for the plants including facilities maintenance;
* Optimising the engineering program including annual shutdown;
* Controlling and maintaining SHE and risk schedules and documentation;
* Review reports with planning team to highlight problem area;
* Check maintenance plan
* Inform Maintenance Team Leader and Production Supervisor of any impending services;
* Based on this information draw up a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance plan;
* Perform administrative tasks for maintenance function.
