A dynamic company based in Johannesburg Central is looking for a Millwright

Duties:

• Plant maintenance daily job card
• Maintenance Schedule’s weekly, monthly
• Preventative maintenance /generated from Schedules
• Mechanical and electrical breakdowns
• Training on machines and settings to maintain quality
• H&S with regards to machines and working environment
• Project planning and involvement
• Good relations and discipline in accordance with company police
• Be part of managing daily labour with duties
• Standby duties after hours and on weekends and overtime if necessary
• Maintain high standard of housekeeping
• Adhoc duties that may be delegated

Engineering:

• Repair equipment when required at all hours within the shortest 
• possible time
• Maintain and repair building and yard where necessary
• Preventive maintenance
• Maintain and keep record of all tools and equipment allocated to engineering
• Record cold room and ice plant temperatures and pressures daily
• Minor repairs on transport vehicles

Personnel:

• Maintain good industrial relations and discipline in accordance with company policy and agreed procedures
• Check and complete timecards of hourly paid employees on absence of Maintenance Manager
• Ensure that employees are trained and qualified to safely operate the equipment and machines in the department
• Assist with duties and control labour allocated
• Educate labour where necessary to perform high standard of workmanship

Other:

• To be available for afterhours duty and weekends, with regards to the maintenance of all machinery and equipment so as not to disrupt the processing procedure
• To assist other departments with any maintenance and repairs when necessary
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping
• To assist with or perform any other duties that may be delegated by maintenance manager, operations manager or managing director
