Millar Cameron is a global recruitment consultancy, specializing in recruiting for professionals in the agricultural sector in emerging markets. 

 

We are currently working with a European-owned business who are a market leader of agricultural machinery in Kenya and East Africa. They are looking for a dynamic, engaging and intelligent Branch Manager to head up one of their agricultural machinery branches in Eastern Kenya. 

 

We are looking for a talented Branch manager to assign and direct all work performed in the branch and supervise all areas of operation. The successful candidate will have a hands-on experience with agricultural machinery and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.

 

Responsibilities

• Direct operational aspects within distribution operations, customer service, administration and sales

• Assess local market conditions in order to identify prospective sales opportunities

• Manage budget and P&L

• Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs

• Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly

• Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company

 


Required Skills

  • sales management : 7 to 8 years
  • branch management : 3 to 4 years
  • agricultural machinery : 5 to 6 years

Candidate Requirements

What we are looking for in ideal candidates:

• Proven branch management experience, as a bank manager or similar role

• Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practises

• Ability to meet sales targets and production goals

• Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations

• Excellent organizational skills

• Results driven and customer focused

• Leadership and human resources management skills
