Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Human Resources Degree or National Diploma in Human Resource Management or relevant qualification is essential.

  • Previous work experience having worked in a Human Resources role is essential.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the labour law, labour relations aspects and human resource practices.

  • Must be computer literate and Microsoft Office and e-mail proficient.

  • Must have excellent communication written and verbal skills.

  • Proven time management skills are essential.

  • Must have excellent conflict management skills.

  • Must be assertive to comply with procedures required.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Advising and guiding industrial relations and related issues at the site or unit, inclusive of annual substantive negotiations, disciplinary actions and performance counselling.

  • Participating and providing input to transformation activities and processes.

  • Handling the recruitment function for the site or unit.

  • Managing training and development initiatives on the site or unit.

  • Ensuring consistent application of labour legislation and company policies and procedures.

  • Conducting performance management and undertaking regular salary reviews.

  • Representing the company at the CCMA for both Conciliation and Arbitration.

  • Ensuring that overtime complies with BCEA requirements.

  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, which includes promotions and benefits.

  • Negotiating with staff and their representatives on issues relating to pay and conditions of employment.

  • Administering payroll and maintaining employee records.

  • Interpreting employment law and advising accordingly.  

  • Handling grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.


Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
