Seeking English Tutors to teach English to students from various countries, via an online forum.  Most of the students live and work in Asia, they tend to be graduates and/or working professionals; they have had some exposure to the English language and will be looking to brush up on their conversational capabilities.

This is a full time position, requires commitment and dedication; based at our language center in the CBD, Cape Town.


Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

  • Energetic and professional personality
  • Matric (Grade 12) a must
  • Tertiary qualification or currently studying towards one
  • Clear, neutral accent
  • No experience needed, training will be provided..
  • Willing and able to work shifts
  • Monday – Sunday (3 weekends on, 1 off as well as 1 or 2 days off midweek)
  • Choice of either day shift or night shift i.e. 08h30 – 18h15 or 23h30 – 09h15 (no transport provided)
  • Computer Literate (essential)
  • Previous TEFL/TESOL teaching experience, preferably with adults (advantageous)
  • This position is limited to SA Citizens

  • Patient, confident, enthusiastic, empathetic
  • Solid work ethic – hard working with a willingness to learn
  • Able to work as part to a team
  • Able to motivate students with little confidence
